About Claude OppenheimClaude Oppenheim offers you and your organization the experience he has gained in many years of successful leadership as a school administrator and consultant. He has held senior positions in both public and private education, having served as Deputy Superintendent of Schools, private school Director (22 years as Director of The Calgary Jewish Academy), and public school Principal. He consults to professionals and boards on governance, leadership, administration, teaching, and program and performance evaluation. In addition to his consulting work, he teaches at the University of Calgary. Those who have worked with Dr. Oppenheim describe him as highly effective, focused, insightful and professional. Although his background includes B.A.; B.Ed., M.Ed, and Ph.D. degrees, his consulting style is direct and practical rather than academic. Dr. Oppenheim was born and began his professional career in Johannesburg, South Africa, while most of his graduate education and professional work has been in Canada. Having lived and worked in such diverse environments has given him a broad perspective which is very helpful in his work as a consultant: he understands that good solutions depend on the context, and that there is not "one right way" to suit every situation. |
